DHACC is actively working to build the infrastructure and community that disability history and culture preservation needs. 

Our current activities include:

• Building connections across the landscape of disability history collections, archives, and resources

• Working toward building a hub of resources through collaborative efforts

• Supporting and mentoring young people with disabilities who are interested in history, archiving, and museum studies. This work was recently recognized with a mentorship award from Partners for Youth with Disabilities (PYD)

• Promoting disability history and culture events, including webinars, panel discussions, and storytelling events

• Curating content for disability history and culture curriculum from preschool through college

• Partnering with I Love You-Lead On (ILYLO) to offer community events that make disability history and culture accessible to audiences traditionally excluded.
